MEET THE TEAM
Chris is one of the founding Directors, and the current Managing Director of Dragonfly Consulting, and is the person responsible for all of Dragonfly Consulting’s noise and vibration work. He is a Corporate Member of the Institute of Acoustics.
Chris has a BSc (Hons) in Audio Technology from Salford University and has over 13 years’ experience as an acoustic consultant. Chris started his career working for the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy as a noise and vibration engineer and then moved into private consultancy where he’s worked for a number of large and small consultancies around the UK including a period measuring noise levels on Oil Rigs!
Skilled in architectural acoustic design, Chris has significant experience dealing with noise issues related to planning applications as well as working as an expert witness in relation to noise and vibration issues, in particular with reference to noise from licensed premises.
In addition to his role at Dragonfly Consulting, Chris is a former Director of ‘York Professionals’ and a founding member of ‘Make York’ – an organisation that promotes the role of young professionals in York.
In his spare time Chris enjoys cycling and playing rugby (poorly).

Graeme joined Dragonfly Consulting in 2009 and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the office, resource management and quotations, project delivery and reports.
Graeme’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biological Sciences from Lancaster University. Graeme holds a Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control from Leeds Beckett University and has a full membership to the Institute of Acoustics.
In his spare time Graeme serves as committee member and Publicity Officer for the Monday Players Theatre Group, Escrick near York and he plays for Hambleton Football Club.

Andy joined Dragonfly Consulting in April 2013 to take up the position of Environmental Technician, and has now worked for his promotion to Acoustic Consultant.
Andy started his career as a Motor Vehicle Technician and completed his Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Repair (NVQ3), gaining “Apprentice of the Year” status and became the youngest ever Consultant Technician in the UK. He moved to the Audi dealership in Leeds, where he continued his mechanical training and added the responsibility of MOT Quality Controller to his Technician position.
Andy holds a Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control at Leeds Metropolitan University and currently holds an associate membership to the Institute of Acoustics.
In his spare time Andy enjoys running and playing football for Hambleton Football Club.

Dan joined Dragonfly Consulting in August 2014 as an Acoustic Technician. Dan completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Music Technology at the University of York in 2013, and has since worked to pursue his interests in Architectural and Environmental Acoustics. Dan has studied and passed his Post Graduate Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control at Leeds Beckett University,
Dan currently holds an associate membership to the Institute of Acoustics.
In his spare time, Dan likes to play, write, record and mix music, both for himself and others.

Adam joined Dragonfly Consulting in June 2017 as an acoustic technician through the Birmingham City University internship program. Adam is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Sound Engineering at the university and is looking to gain and expand knowledge in Architectural and Environmental Acoustics whilst with the company.
Adam currently holds a student membership to the Institute of Acoustics.
In his spare time Adam enjoys playing football and has played for a number of clubs. He also enjoys playing musical instruments including the guitar.

Emma is responsible for all of Dragonfly Consulting’s communication and marketing. Undertaking this activity for Dragonfly is a varied and demanding role requiring the co-ordination and management of the expert input from the rest of the team. Having worked at the company for nearly seven years her knowledge of the industry has grown and developed. When changes to new legislation are introduced, Emma knows how vital it is to send out updates to customers, ensuring these alterations are communicated to them quickly and clearly to ensure they are not in breach of any legislative requirements.
Emma’s spare time is taken up with running, going out on her bike and raising money for the local Primary School.

Steve read Physics at Imperial College, London, and after a short spell working for the Morgan Motor Company he joined the international sales team of a rechargeable battery manufacturer, having responsibility for sales to the Middle East, the Far East and South America.
He then moved to Scarborough to become Sales Manager of a company making cable management systems for power and data cabling (as well as, at that time, milk churns and chicken feeders!). Taking advantage of the burgeoning market for electrical services the business grew dramatically to become market leader, with its markets ranging from offshore platforms and petrochemical plants to shopping malls and sports halls.
Steve then studied for, and gained an MBA with Warwick Business School. Steve became Sales Director then Marketing Director before changing roles completely and joining Dragonfly Consulting as Director and Financial Controller.
Steve’s hobby is restoring classic cars.
